Dua in Arabic means a request from Allah to achieve something for us and it’s a good religious devotion as Allah ordered Muslims to pray for him, and even not praying is considered scorn as god said in Quran:

Call upon Me, I will answer you. Verily, those who scorn My worship they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!” (Surah Ghafir, 60)

How to Start and End a Dua in Arabic?

You begin Dua with praise of God – the Highest – and praising Him, as we say: “In the name of God, and bountiful thanks for Allah the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, Thanks Allah who steered us to the right path and without his light we will be astray.

They pray to Mohammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam – may God’s prayers and peace be upon him- by saying: “Oh God, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you prayed to Abraham and the family of Abraham, and bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you blessed Abraham and the family of Abraham in the worlds, that you are praiseworthy and glorious.”

Then, The servant begins to supplicate to his Lord with what he hopes for and asks him to fulfill his need.

Finally, you conclude your dua by saying: “Oh judge of needs, and responder of all prayers, fulfill our needs, and the needs of those who ask. Oh God, do not make me a wretched Lord with your supplications, and be merciful and merciful to me, O Most Generous Givers.”

Istikhara Dua in Arabic

«اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أَسْتَخِيرُكَ بِعِلْمِكَ، وَأَسْتَقْدِرُكَ بِقُدْرَتِكَ، وَأَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ الْعَظِيمِ فَإِنَّكَ تَقْدِرُ وَلا أَقْدِرُ، وَتَعْلَمُ وَلا أَعْلَمُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلامُ الْغُيُوبِ..

اللَّهُمَّ إنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الأَمْرَ (هنا تسمي حاجتك) خَيْرٌ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاقْدُرْهُ لِي وَيَسِّرْهُ لِي ثُمَّ بَارِكْ لِي فِيهِ..

اللَّهُمَّ وَإِنْ كُنْتَ تَعْلَمُ أَنَّ هَذَا الأَمْرَ (هنا تسمي حاجتك) شَرٌّ لِي فِي دِينِي وَمَعَاشِي وَعَاقِبَةِ أَمْرِي فَاصْرِفْهُ عَنِّي وَاصْرِفْنِي عَنْهُ وَاقْدُرْ لِي الْخَيْرَ حَيْثُ كَانَ ثُمَّ ارْضِنِي بِهِ. (وَيُسَمِّي حَاجَتَهُ)

d, “The Prophet. may Allah bless him and grant him peace, used to teach us the istikhara in matters just as if it was a sura of the Qur’an. He said, ‘When someone is concerned about something, he should pray two rak’ats and then say, ‘O Allah, I ask You for the good by Your knowledge and I ask You for strength by Your power and I ask You for some of Your immense abundant favor, You have the power and I do not.

You know and I do not know. You are the Knower of the Unseen Worlds. O Allah, if You know that this affair is good for me in my deen, my livelihood and the end of my affair (or he said at the beginning of my affair’) and its conclusion, then avert it from me and avert me from it. Decree for me the good wherever it is and then make me content.” Then he should state what he needs.’

Dua Qunoot in Arabic

اَللَّهُمَّ إنا نَسْتَعِينُكَ وَنَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَنُؤْمِنُ بِكَ وَنَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ وَنُثْنِئْ عَلَيْكَ الخَيْرَ وَنَشْكُرُكَ وَلَا نَكْفُرُكَ وَنَخْلَعُ وَنَتْرُكُ مَنْ ئَّفْجُرُكَ اَللَّهُمَّ إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَلَكَ نُصَلِّئ وَنَسْجُدُ وَإِلَيْكَ نَسْعئ وَنَحْفِدُ وَنَرْجُو رَحْمَتَكَ وَنَخْشئ عَذَابَكَ إِنَّ عَذَابَكَ بِالكُفَّارِ مُلْحَقٌ

O, Allah! We implore You for help and beg forgiveness of You and believe in You and rely on You and extol You and we are thankful to You and are not ungrateful to You and we forsake those who disobey You.
O, Allah! You are the one we worship and for You, we perform our prayers and prostrate and seek your refuge and mercy and fear Your punishment. Undoubtedly, Your torment is going to overtake infidels O Allah!

Dua for Shifa in Arabic

أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ رَبَّ النَّاسِ وَاشْفِ أَنْتَ الشَّافِي لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ شِفَاءٌ لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمَاً

‘A’isha said: When one of us had a complaint God’s messenger wiped him with his right hand and then said, “Remove the harm, Lord of men, and give healing. Thou art the Healer. There is no healing but Thine, a healing which leaves no illness behind.”

Dua for a Sick Person in Arabic

أسألك اللهم ربي أن تشفيني وتخفف عني مرضي وتفتح لي أبواب الرزق، واجعل لي ذلك المرض هو سبب دخول جنتك واغفر لي ذلتي وتجاوز عن سيئاتي وأرزقني جنتك بدون حساب ولا سابق عذاب أسألك اللهم من فضلك ومن جودك وكرمك أن تمن على بنعمة الصحة والعافية وتشفيني مما أصابني. اللهم لك الحمد أنت نور السموات والأرض ولك الحمد أنت قيوم السماوات والأرض ولك الحمد أنت رب السموات والأرض ومن فيهن، أنت الحق ووعدك الحق ولقاؤك حق والجنة حق والساعة حق.

I ask You, O God, my Lord, to heal me, relieve me of my illness, open the doors for blessings for me, and make that disease for a reason for entering your paradise, and forgive my sins and pardon for my misdeeds, and grant me your paradise without account or torment. Oh God, praise be to you, you are the light of the heavens and the earth, and to you, all praise rises, you are the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all of what’s existed in them.

Dua for Traveling in Arabic

الله أكبر، الله أكبر، الله أكبر،{سُبْحانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ * وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ}  “اللهم إنا نسألُكَ في سفرنا هذا البرَّ والتقوى، ومن العمل ما ترضى، اللهم هون علينا سفرنا هذا واطو عنا بعده، اللهم أنت الصاحب في السفر، والخليفة في الأهل، اللهم إني أعوذ بك من وعْثاءِ السفر، وكآبة المنظر وسوء المنقلب في المال والأهل” وإذا رجع قالهن وزاد فيهن “آيبون، تائبون، عابدون، لربنا حامدون”[1].

Allahu Akbar (God is Great), Allahu Akbar (God is Great), Allahu Akbar (God is Great) Praised be the one who has eased traveling for us, And to Allah, we’ll return. oh Allah I ask you in this traveling for righteousness and piety, and the kind of work that would satisfy you, Oh Allah make this traveling easy and decrease its length. Oh Allah you’re the companion in traveling, The successor in family, oh Allah by your name I seek refuge from travel hardships, from a bad scenario, and bad endings in finance and family.

Dua Hajat in Arabic

لا إله إلا الله، الحليم الكريم، سبحان الله رب العرش العظيم، الحمد لله رب العالمين، أسألك موجبات رحمتك، وعزائم مغفرتك والغنيمة من كل بر والسلامة من كل اثم، اللهم لا تدع لي ذنبا إلا غفرته، ولا هما إلا فرجته ولا حاجة هي لك رضا إلا قضيتها يا أرحم الراحمين”.

No one has the right to be worshipped but Allah, the Forbearing, the Most Generous. Glory is to Allah, the Lord of the Mighty Throne. Praise is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. O Allah, I ask You for the means of Your mercy and forgiveness, the benefit of every good deed, and safety from all sins. I ask You not to leave any sin of mine but You forgive it, or any distress but You relieve it, or any need that is pleasing to You but You meet it). Then he should ask Allah for whatever he wants in this world and the Hereafter, for it is decreed.”

Dua for Palestine in Arabic

اللهم إني أستودعك بيت المقدس وأهل القُدس وكُل فلسطين ، اللهُم كُن لهم عوناً، اللهم إنا لا نملك لفلسطين إلا الدعاء  يارب لا ترد لنا دعاء ولا تخيب لنا رجاء وأنت أرحم الراحمين، اللهم رد إلينا فلسطين والمسجد الاقصى رداً جميلاً اللهم أنصر ضعفهم فإنهم ليس لهم سواك.

Oh God, I entrust you to the Holy House and the people of Jerusalem and all of Palestine, O God, help them, O and return Palestine and Al-Aqsa masjid to us, we have nothing for Palestine but supplications.

Dua for First Ten Days of Ramadan in Arabic

اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ صِيامِي فِيْهِ صِيامَ الصَّائِمِينَ، وَقِيامِي فِيْهِ قِيامَ القائِمِينَ، وَنَبِّهْنِي فِيْهِ عَنْ نومه الغافِلِينَ. وَهَبْ لِي جُرْمِي فِيهِ يا إِلهَ العالَمِينَ، وَاعْفُ عَنِّي يا عافِياً عَنِ المُجْرِمِينَ.

O Allah, make my fasting in it the fasting of those who fast, and my standing in it the standing of those who stand, and warn me in it from the sleep of the dormant. Forgive my sins and pardon me, O, who pardons the criminals.

Dua for Birthday in Arabic

اللهم اني استودعتك نفسي في عيد ميلادي فانت يا الله خير حافظ لي ، لك الحمد اعطيتني عمرا جديدا ، فاللهم اقدر لي الخير فيه ، واخترلي فيه ولا تخيرني فيه يا الله. 

Oh God, I entrust myself to you on my birthday, and you, O God, are the best guardians for me, praise be to you, you gave me a new life, so God determines the good for me in it, and choose for and don’t make me choose, O God.

Morning Dua in Arabic

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ غَنَّامٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: ” من قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ: اللَّهُمَّ مَا أَصْبَحَ بِي مِنْ نِعْمَةٍ أَوْ بِأَحَدٍ مِنْ خَلْقِكَ فَمِنْكَ وَحْدَكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ فَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ وَلَكَ الشُّكْرُ فَقَدْ أَدَّى شُكْرَ يَوْمِهِ وَمَنْ قَالَ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ حِينَ يُمْسِي فَقَدْ أَدَّى شُكْرَ ليلته “. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد

‘Abdallah b. Ghannam reported God’s messenger as saying, that if anyone says in the morning, “O God, whatever favor has come to me or any of Thy creatures in the morning, it comes from Thee alone who has no partner, to whom be praise and thanksgiving,” he will have expressed full thanksgiving for the day; and if anyone says the same in the evening he will have expressed full thanksgiving for the night.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هذِه الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ، والصَّلَاةِ القَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الوَسِيلَةَ والفَضِيلَةَ، وابْعَثْهُ مَقَامًا مَحْمُودًا الذي وعَدْتَهُ، حَلَّتْ له شَفَاعَتي يَومَ القِيَامَةِ

Jabir reported God’s Messenger as saying: If anyone says when he hears the summons, “O God, Lord of this perfect call and of the prayer which is established for all time, grant Muhammad the wasila and excellency, and raise him in a praiseworthy position (Al-Qur’an; 17:79) which Thou hast promised,” he will be assured of my intercession. Bukhari transmitted it.

Taraweeh Dua Arabic

اللّهم اهدِنا فيمَن هَديْت وعافِنا فيمَن عافيْت وتَوَلَّنا فيمَن تَوَلَّيْت وبارِك لَنا فيما أَعْطَيْت وقِنا واصْرِف عَنَّا شَرَّ ما قَضَيت سُبحانَك تَقضي ولا يُقضى عَليك أنَّهُ لا يَذِّلُّ مَن والَيت وَلا يَعِزُّ من عادَيت تَبارَكْتَ رَبَّنا وَتَعالَيْت فَلَكَ الحَمدُ يا الله عَلى ما قَضَيْت وَلَكَ الشُّكرُ عَلى ما أَنْعَمتَ بِهِ عَلَينا وَأَوْلَيت.

O Allah, guide me with those whom You have guided and strengthen me with those whom You have given strength. Take me to Your care with those whom You have taken to Your care. Bless me in what You have given me. Protect me from the evil You have ordained. Surely, You command and are not commanded, and none whom You have committed to Your care shall be humiliated [and none whom You have taken as an enemy shall taste glory]. Dua for Parents Arabic

(رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيَّ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الْحِسَابُ).

Our Lord! Forgive me, my parents, and the believers on the Day when the judgment will come to pass.”

Eid Mubarak Dua in Arabic

إلهي يا معطي من تشاء ومانع من تشاء ’ إلهي فاعطنا اللطفَ والرحمةَ، وامنع عنا البطشَ والنقمة، وامدد لنا من لدنكَ رزقاً حلالاً بمعرفتكَ وطاعتك، إلهي لكَ صمنا شهركَ الذي فضلت واستخلصتَ لنفسك، وجعلتهُ أجراً للمؤمنين وغفراناً للمذنبين.

My God, O Giver of whom You will and Deprive your blessing from whom You will, O God, give us kindness and mercy, and keep us away from oppression and resentment, and provide us with your halal. God, we have fasted your month which you preferred and redeemed for yourself, and made it a reward for the believers and forgiveness for the sinner.

Dua for Qurbani in Arabic

«إني وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِيَ للذي فَطَرَ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالأَرْضَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا أَنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ إِنَّ صلاتي وَنُسُكِي وَمَحْيَايَ وَمَمَاتِي لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ لاَ شَرِيكَ لَهُ وَبِذَلِكَ أُمِرْتُ وَأَنَا أَوَّلُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، اللَّهُمَّ هذا مِنْكَ وَلَكَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَأُمَّتِهِ». أخرجه أحمد في مسنده.

“For me, I have set my face, firmly and truly, towards Him Who created the heavens and the earth, and never shall I give partners to Allah.” surely my Prayer, all my acts of worship, and my living and my dying are for Allah alone, the Lord of the whole universe.O. God this Qurbani is from you, for you from Mohammed and his nation.

Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) seldom left a gathering without supplicating in these terms:

(O Allah, apportion to us such fear as should serve as a barrier between us and acts of disobedience; and such obedience as will take us to Your Jannah; and such as will make easy for us to bear in the calamities of this world. O Allah! let us enjoy our hearing, our sight, and our power as long as You keep us alive

and make our heirs from our own offspring, and make our revenge restricted to those who oppress us, and support us against those who are hostile to us let no misfortune afflict our Deen; let not worldly affairs be our principal concern or the ultimate limit of our knowledge, and let not those rule over us who do not show mercy to us).”

Sleeping Dua in Arabic

أمسينا وأمسى الملك لله، والحمد لله، لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له» قال الراوي: أَرَاهُ قال فِيهِنَّ: «له الملك وله الحمد وهو على كل شيء قدير، ربِّ أسألك خير ما في هذه الليلة وخير ما بعدها، وأعوذ بك من شر ما في هذه الليلة وشر ما بعدها، رب أعوذ بك من الكسل، وسُوءِ الكِبَرِ، رب أعوذ بك من عذاب في النار، وعذاب في القبر

” We have entered upon evening and so, too, the whole Kingdom of Allah has entered upon evening. Praise is due to Allah. There is no god but Allah, the One having no partner with Him.” He (the narrator) said: I think that he also uttered (in this supplication these words):

“He is the Sovereignty and to Him is praise due and He is Potent over everything. My Lord, I beg of Thee good that lies in this night and good that follows it and I seek refuge in Thee from the evil that lies in this night and from the evil of that which follows it. My Lord, I seek refuge in Thee from sloth, from the evil of vanity. My Lord, I seek refuge in Thee from the torment of the Hell-Fire and the torment of the grave.” And when it was morning he said like this:” We entered upon morning and the whole Kingdom of Allah enter ed upon morning.”

Allah, I beg of You its good and the good of that which it contains and the good of the purpose for which it has been sent; and I seek Your Refuge from its evil and the evil of that which it contains and the evil of the purpose for which it has been sent

When Someone Dies Dua in Arabic

“اللهم أعذه من عذاب القبروإن قال: “اللهم اجعله فرطاً وذخراً لوالديه ، وشفيعاً مجاباً . اللهم ثقل به موازينها وأعظم به أجورهما ، وألحقهُ بصالح المؤمنين ، واجعلهُ في كفالة إبراهيم ، وقه برحمتك عذاب الجحيم ، وأبدله داراً خيراً من داره ، وأهلاً خيراً من أهله ، اللهم اغفر لاسلافنا ، وأفراطنا ، ومن سبقنا بالإيمان ” فحسن

protect him from the torment of the grave. [It is also good to say:] O Allah, make him a precursor, a forerunner and a treasure for his parents and an answered intercessor. O Allah, make him weigh heavily in their scales (of good) and magnify their reward. Make him join the righteous of the believers. Place him in the care of Ibrahim. Save him by Your mercy from the torment of Hell. Give him a home better than his home, and a family better than his family. O Allah, forgive those who have gone (i.e. passed away) before us, our children lost (by death), and those who have preceded us in Faith.
