Holy Quran is Allah Almighty’s book, described as a cure for all creatures, making many Muslims race to memorize it.
Besides being an act of worship and being closer to Allah, Quran memorization has many virtues for Quran hafiz, such as getting rewards from Allah for every letter you recite and being surrounded by angles in paradise.

Benefits of memorizing the Quran memorization of the Quran isn’t just a good deed;
1. Big Rewards from Allah Many hadiths in the sunnah promise Quran hafiz by great virtues and rewards from Allah.
For example, In a hadith by Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him about the virtues of memorizing the Holy Quran. He equates the reward of reciting two verses from the Quran to having two she-camels ( And the reward multiplies for more verses).
‘Uqba b. ‘Āmir said:
When we were in the Suffa (A kind of verandah at the mosque in Medina where certain poor people lived), God’s messenger came out and asked, “Which of you would like to go out every morning to Buthān or al-‘Aqīq (Two wādis not far from Medina where camels were sold) and bring two large-humped she-camels without being guilty of sin or severing ties of relationship?”
We replied, “Messenger of God, we would all like that.” He said, “Does not one of you go out in the morning to the mosque and teach or recite two verses of God’s Book? That is better for him than two she-camels, and three verses are better for him than three she-camels, and four verses are better for him than four she-camels, and so on than their numbers in camels.”
2. Quran Hafiz Is Among Allah’s People. It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said: The Messenger of Allah said:
‘Allah has His people among mankind.’ They said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, who are they?
‘ He said: ‘The people of the Qur’an, the people of Allah and those who are closest to Him.'”
Al hakim al Tirmidhi explains that reward is for all reciter whose hearts are clear of vanity and oppression and purified from apparent and invisible sins. Reciting Quran or memorizing it isn’t enough. The hafiz should abide by Allah’s teachings and prohibitions in every aspect of his life to deserve to be among Allah’s people.
3. It Is a Prerequisite for Being Imam Memorizing Quran for leading the prayers is a good desire as long as you have a pure intention to do so to seek Allah’s pleasure.
And in Quran, there is a verse in surah al Surah Al-Furqan, 74, that believers supplicate to Allah to make them leaders for Muslims.
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous." And in the sunnah, a hadith of the prophet confirms that.
Abu Mas’ud ‘Uqbah ibn Amr Al-Badri Al-Ansari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “The person who is best versed in the recitation of the Book of Allah should lead the prayer; but if all those present are equally versed in it, then the one who has the most knowledge of the Sunnah; if they are equal in that respect too, then the one who has emigrated (to Al-Madinah) first, if they are equal in this respect also, then the oldest of them. No man should lead another in prayer where the latter has authority, or sit in his house, without his permission”.
Also, companions of the prophet Mohammed weren’t hesitant to ask him for the lead.
‘Uthman b. Abul ‘As he asked God’s Messenger to make him people’s imam and replied, “You are their imam , but do according to what the weakest of them is capable of, and employ a mu’adhdhin who does not accept payment for his adhan .”
Ahmad, Abu Dawud, and Nasa’i transmitted it. 4. Allah Honors His Parents. Hifz Qur’an is an act of worship by which the Muslim seeks to draw close to God Almighty and get rewarded in the Hereafter.
In a hadith of the prophet Mohammed, he said that a Quran memorizer would get his parents dressed in two garments that have no parallel as a gift for their efforts and interest in teaching their son the Holy Qur’an, even if they were ignorant.
On the other hand, parents who deter their son and prevent him from reciting the Noble Qur’an will be deprived of Allah’s mercy.
Sahl b. Mu’adh b. Anas al-Juhani said that his father reported God’s Messenger as saying :
“Whoever reads the Qur’an will wear his parents a crown, on the day of the resurrection, whose light is shinier the that of the sun of the world”.
6. Great Ranks in Paradise The one who masters Quran and recites it fluently will be rewarded with superior ranks in paradise and be surrounded by angels. And the reward isn’t only for memorization but for committing to Allah’s orders and avoiding the wrong deeds.
Narrated Aisha:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “Such a person as recites the Qur’an and masters it by heart, will be with the noble, righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Qur’an by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward.”
And another hadith confirms that reward isn’t only in the hereafter but also can be sensed in the world.
‘Umar b. al Khattāb reported God’s messenger as saying, “By this Book God exalts some peoples and lowers others.” Muslim transmitted it.
This hadith confirms that Quran raises people who obey Quran rules at the top, and they become good scholars, But those who deviate from its path and don’t obey his commands will be lost and inferior…

‘Abdallah b. ‘Amr reported God’s messenger as saying, “Fasting and the Qur’an intercede for a man. Fasting says, ‘O my Lord, I have kept him away from his food and his passions daily, so accept my intercession for him.’ The Qur’an says, ‘I have kept him away from sleep by night, so accept my intercession for him.’ Then their intercession is accepted.”
Baihaqi transmitted it in Shu’ab al-iman .
10. Wearing the Crown of Nobility That’s also one of the great rewards of memorizing the Quran.
Narrated Abu Hurairah: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said:
The one who memorized the Qur’an shall come on the Day of Judgement and (the reward for reciting the Qur’an) says: ‘O Lord! Decorate him.” So he is donned with a crown of nobility. Then it says: “O Lord! Give him more!’ So he is donned with a suit of nobility. Then it says: “O Lord! Be pleased with him.’ So He is pleased with him and says: “Recite and rise up, and be increased in reward with every Ayah.'”
11. Will Be Buried First Whenever there are many martyrs, the one who recites Quran more has a right to be buried first. as a hadith of the prophet Mohammed shows.
Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah:
The Prophet (ﷺ) collected every two martyrs of Uhud in one piece of cloth; then, he would ask, “Which of them had (knew) more of the Qur’an?” When one of them was pointed out for him, he would put that one first in the grave and say, “I will be a witness on these on the Day of Resurrection.”
8. Sharp Memory Besides the great religious rewards in the hereafter, Quran memorization sharpens the memory and increases concentration.
The brain is an active organ, and when it receives any information from the outer environment. the temporal lobe, an area near the hippocampus in charge of learning new skills, is stimulated. And the more this area is active, the more the person’s ‘memory becomes sharper.
